WHAT IS THE SAFL (SYDNEY AMATEURE FOOTBAL LEAGUE)

SAFL has been in existence since 1947 and provides competitive men’s football across the Sydney region. Unlike most leagues in Australia, we are not restricted to one specific region (i.e. Eastern Suburbs or Norther Suburbs). We welcome teams from all areas in Sydney. Premier League clubs register at least 30 players to play across two teams – first grade and reserve grade. Most matches are held on Saturdays with our reserve grades kicking off at 1pm and 1st grades kicking off at 3pm.

This season we are opening our doors to single teams who do not have enough players or ability to run two squads.
